2026 Blavatnik Regional Award for Young Scientists
Deeply honored to be named one of the top three young scientists in Physical Sciences & Engineering across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut by The New York Academy of Sciences and the Blavatnik Family Foundation!
The Blavatnik Regional Awards for Young Scientists recognize outstanding postdoctoral researchers in the Tri-State area in three categories: Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Physical Sciences & Engineering. This year, nine honorees were selected from 176 nominations spanning 35 institutions. In each category one Laureate receives $30,000 and two Finalists each receive $10,000 in unrestricted funds.
The award, as a Finalist in Physical Sciences & Engineering, recognizes work on pioneering cosmological simulations and interpretable machine learning methods that reveal hidden information about the Universe’s structure and evolution. This includes fast simulations of cosmic structure, multi-probe simulation suites such as HalfDome, and machine learning methods that can be trusted to discover new physics rather than simply reproduce what we already know.
